No Memory Usage or PF Usage in Windows XP

There have been various instances where after updating Windows XP, users find that the system stops using the available RAM on the system and starts using PF instead. This is usually caused by an update of a core windows file which causes the system to somehow ignore the available RAM on the system.

Having searched endlessly for a solution to this problem, I have finally given up and have started twiddling with the windows core files to find a solution to this problem.

So, for now stay tuned to this page for updates on the situation.

Cheers

  1. Okay so I tried to isolate the problem but the closest explanation is that a security updated feature has modified the page file allocation unit file to utilize page file for system memory instead of just for video memory.
