Android Power???

It's just October but 2010 has seen a massive increase in the number of Android powered phones from manufacturers such as HTC, Motorola, Samsung etc. While these manufacturers are all part of the Android empire, one thing that the are keeping up with is the update of technology to their nifty mobile phones. Be it in the form of a small projector on the phone or the capability of recording HD video @ 30fps.

With these varying degrees of hardware on Android powered devices, one has to wonder if the days of Apple, Windows Mobile, Symbian or Blackberry are long gone. Some believe this to be true and most individuals have already jumped onto the Android bandwagon calling it a shining piece of individuality in a world of oh-so-similar phones.

However, in the opinion of this humble writer, Google still has a long way to go before it can compete with the e-mail service of Blackberry, the marketing strategy of Apple or the sheer mass of Symbian based devices.

One might ask here why I forgot to mention Windows mobile in the comparison. I think that for the comparison to be a precise one, I will need to wait for the launch of Windows Phone 7 devices in the upcoming weeks.

Until then, keep an eye out for the various new features that may be released on these operating systems. (I believe we need to keep an eye out on upcoming Android based tablets and the much anticipated Android OS 3.0)

Cheers
